Educating · Supporting · Equipping

Our Mission & Vision

We aim to prevent or overturn wrongful convictions by educating, supporting, and equipping those wrongfully charged. We do this by investigating and informally advocating for them. We envision a day when no one serves time for the crimes of another.

Who We Are Not

  • We are not lawyers. We cannot and will not give legal advice.*
  • We are not partisan. We maintain strict commitment to political neutrality.

COVID Commitment

A wrongful conviction reversal is worth little if the innocent prisoner is deceased. Therefore, a portion of our resources will remain dedicated to encouraging the safe and responsible treatment of prisoners, until such time that Covid no longer poses threat of…

Unscheduled Execution.

7/16/22 Fraud Alert:

On July 16, 2022, Innocence Foundation’s merchant services account was cyberattacked and used in conjunction with nearly 20,000 stolen credit card numbers from an unknown database. We are deeply sorry this occurred. None of the charge attempts were initiated by us, nor did we receive any of the funds when charge attempts were successful. If you were impacted, please contact your financial institution.

12/1/23 Fraud Update:

In 2022, this cybercrime was reported to Oregon’s Inspector General at the Department of Justice, who completed an investigation. Stripe, our merchant servicer, assisted in resolution by refunding as many affected ones as possible. Monies from this incident that were unable to be refunded directly have been forwarded to the Unclaimed Property Division of the Oregon State Treasurer’s office. Click here to apply for a refund through their website: Oregon Unclaimed Property – Official State Website If you have any ongoing issues, please feel free to contact our Director, Connie Marsh (503) 477-2335, thank you.
