About

Connie Marsh
Innocence Foundation, Founder

“’When I grow up, I want to be a prison reform advocate,’ said no little girl ever,” jokes Innocence Foundation Founder & Executive Director, Connie Marsh. “I believe we don’t choose our callings; they choose us,” she continues. “I now understand they tend to stem from realizations about things we may have never known existed, until they came knocking on our doorstep.” Connie would know. Her husband Floyd Marsh was wrongfully convicted of a crime he did not commit. Until this occurred, the two of them were living in a small town in Oregon, enjoying semi-retirement – and building businesses together since 2004.

Connie has been primarily self-employed since the age of 23. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Leadership & Organizational Management from George Fox University with an emphasis on communication, gained her Mediation Certification from the National Association of Christian Counselors in 2006, and worked in the financial services industry for about 10 years. Connie has just completed her master’s degree in Restorative Justice, with an emphasis on Criminal Law from Vermont Law & Graduate School. As she is fond of reminding, “If it can happen to one, it can happen to anyone.”

Let justice flow down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.
